Business Development Director – Games and Entertainment

 

Are you a passionate and experienced sales professional with a love for gaming? Lionbridge Games is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to drive top-line revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of our comprehensive gaming services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the gaming industry who can navigate through multiple decision-makers, including the C-Suite, to grow an ambitious pipeline of business.

 

You will be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets, maintaining profitable growth within a territory, and executing on overarching sales and corporate objectives. You will manage the entire sales process including lead generation, qualification, discovery, solution development / presentation, negotiation and close. The target customers for this specific role are those designing, producing, marketing, and distributing Games and Entertainment, especially key players in this space.

 

What You Will Do

  • Achieve prospecting goals by generating new leads and opportunities through personal activity, trade shows, conferences, and regional organizations.
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets and other sales performance metrics.
  • Qualify and close leads sourced by marketing (MQLs).
  • Develop a deep understanding of prospects' business goals, competition, growth plans, and obstacles.
  • Position all Lionbridge Gaming solutions and services with assistance from product specialists.
  • Communicate strategic information such as market intelligence, key customer data, competitive analysis, and pricing information to internal teams.
  • Advocate for clients and maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership internally and externally throughout the sales process for all opportunities.
  • Accurately capture and report all aspects of account and opportunity information within a sales force automation (SFA) application.

 

 

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • 5+ years of consultative selling experience in the Games/Entertainment industry.
  • Proven "HUNTER" experience in creating new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with and selling to mid-level and senior executive contacts.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Games vertical, with expertise in at least one specialized area: localization, audio, testing, player support, etc.
  • Very strong communication skills in English, with a strong understanding of industry terminology and culture.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
