Vice President, Sales Effectiveness & Commercial Excellence

Lionbridge is seeking a Vice President of Sales Effectiveness & Commercial Excellence to serve as a strategic leader connecting executive growth strategy with field execution. This role is responsible for aligning and optimizing Lionbridge's full commercial engine including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Pricing, and Partnerships to deliver predictable revenue growth, margin expansion, and exceptional customer experiences.

The VP will own the design, governance, and continuous improvement of Lionbridge's global commercial operating model to ensure consistency, scalability, and accountability.

What You Will Do

Sales Enablement (Rep-Centric, Tactical Execution)

• Ensure sales teams have the skills, content, and tools required to sell effectively in the current market

• Oversee global onboarding and ongoing sales training programs

• Develop, maintain, and govern sales playbooks, pitch decks, talk tracks, and competitive battle cards

• Drive adoption and effective use of CRM and sales enablement tools

• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support high-quality content creation and distribution

Sales Effectiveness (Sales Organization-Centric, System-Level)

• Design, implement, and continuously improve sales processes, governance models, and exit criteria

• Strengthen pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and performance discipline

• Partner with Sales leadership on territory design, account segmentation, and coverage models

• Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and insights to provide visibility into funnel health and performance

• Integrate AI and data-driven insights into selling motions and decision-making

• Identify and remove friction points across processes, tools, data, and talent

Commercial Excellence (Cross-Functional, Strategic Leadership)

• Build a repeatable and predictable commercial engine that improves forecast accuracy, reduces revenue leakage, strengthens margin discipline, and increases enterprise valuation.

• Align the full commercial engine to enterprise growth strategy and profitability goals

• Shape go-to-market strategy, segmentation, and portfolio focus

• Lead pricing and packaging strategy, discount governance, and margin optimization efforts

• Foster strong alignment across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product, and Customer Success

• Define and scale global standards for commercial practices and customer journey optimization

To Be Successful You Will Have

• 15+ years of experience in sales leadership, commercial strategy, revenue operations, or related roles

• Proven track record building and scaling sales effectiveness, enablement, or commercial excellence functions

• Experience delivering executive-level and board-ready commercial insights that clearly articulate performance, risk, and growth opportunities.

• Deep understanding of go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and cross-functional commercial alignment

• Strong expertise in sales process design, pipeline management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making

• Demonstrated experience integrating AI and advanced analytics into sales and commercial workflows

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management capabilities

• Global commercial experience strongly preferred
