We are looking to build our testing team with hands-on talent who have natural curiosity and enjoy breaking things and putting them back together. The Test Technician 3's primary role is to ensure tools are maintained to ensure accurate execution of testing, as well as the highest quality and integrity of data collection, compiling, and reporting in their assigned areas. Ensure all safety and security protocols in assigned areas are followed.
What You Will Do
• Perform, maintain and set up computer systems to control equipment according to specified configuration requirements for both hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot computer setups and tool issues.
• Monitor output to confirm problems are found and fixed.
• Responsible for training personnel in assigned area.
• Communicates tool, equipment and process issues appropriately.
• Act as tool and test expert in work centers as trained and be primary trainer on one or more tools as assigned by Lead.
• Owns set-up, execution and verification of test, equipment and process in support of area assigned.
• Owns configuring and updates to hardware, software and firmware.
• Responsible for standard maintenance and calibration of equipment, systems and processes.
• Communicate data, issues and opportunities related to assigned work center and assist others in doing so appropriately. Typically communicates with key customers directly.
• Ensure accurate entry of defects in databases and other appropriate formats/systems.
• Follow security, safety and testing procedures to ensure operational excellence.
• Act as a second level responder to defects and issues on testing or equipment.
• Provide technical and process support across assigned areas.
• Act as a backup for the Lead assigned to the area.
• Drives continuous process improvements for assigned work area.
• Meet or exceed all performance goals and expectations.
To Be Successful You Will Have
• BS degree in computer science/technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and or related experience.
• Experience in Media testing environment.
• Experience with Media Testing tools and equipment.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to write process documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees and customers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Perform intermediate math skills
• Initiative to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to multitask
• Work effectively as an individual or in a team environment
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to communicate in a direct, specific and non-punishing manner.
