Senior Localization Tester

Position Summary
As a Senior Localization Tester, you will play a key role in coordinating the localization testing process, assisting the Games Test Lead with status reporting, and assessing project risks. Your responsibilities include executing and updating test cases, evaluating translation quality, and identifying inconsistencies. You will conduct detailed product analysis through gameplay, providing insights and suggestions for improvements.


What You Will Do

  • Support the Games Test Lead in:

    • Coordinating the localization testing process

    • Reporting test statuses

    • Assessing project risks based on scope, schedule, and requirements

  • Execute and update test cases to ensure quality and accuracy

  • Test the translation quality, consistency, and language correctness of games/products

  • Report bugs according to project requirements

  • Conduct in-depth product analysis through gameplay to understand functionality and provide feedback

  • Assist the Games Test Lead in briefing the testing team on specific tasks

  • Communicate within the defined scope and maintain effective client communication

  • Resolve basic issues that arise during execution

  • Participate in initiatives within the Game Testing Unit

  • Acquire and apply knowledge of testing methodologies and the video game market

  • Share knowledge and participate in internal training sessions

  • Perform internal quality control according to schedules and instructions

  • Carry out administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor

  • Perform other duties as instructed to ensure proper workflow

  • Adhere to job-related procedures and standards


To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • Native-level proficiency in the target language with deep cultural knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the native language

  • Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in localization testing or game localization

  • Solid understanding of the video game market and testing methodologies

  • Familiarity with MS Office tools

  • Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, efficiency, attention to detail, and organizational ability

  • Preferred higher education in languages or technology

  • Proven ability to lead smaller projects or act as backup Test Lead
