Lionbridge Pre Sales Solution Consultant are collectively responsible for developing customer solutions that exceed expectations for technical competency, quality, project management, and cost savings. Pre Sales Solution Consultant have primary responsibilities in three areas:
Gathering opportunity requirements, and subsequently developing solutions that establish Lionbridge credibility through innovative Solutions Briefings and other pre-sales documents and presentations
Providing account planning support to BDDs, including development of proactive Solutions Briefings
Contributing to and/or owning the quality of proposals, RFI responses, and budgetary estimates
Pre Sales Solution Consultant must have both technical skills and consultative sales skills, creating client intimacy with their domain expertise, and positioning as a trusted technical advisor to the client or prospect. As a bridge between Sales and Operations, the Pre Sales Solution Consultant must have prior hands-on experience in both spheres. Additionally, Pre Sales Solution Consultant work closely with Lionbridge Marketing teams on collateral development.
Pre Sales Solution Consultant from time-to-time may be assigned to short-term billable roles, such as on-site QA Process consulting projects.
Pre Sales Solution Consultant also engage in process improvement activities, such as updating proposal templates, reviewing/updating knowledge base content, preparing Rate Cards, documenting site capabiities, writing up resourcing flow charts, etc.
General requirements for Pre Sales Solution Consultant include:
Highly proficient in written articulation of Lionbridge services vision and strategy, as well as the details and values of specific solutions
Able to create powerful customer presentations, in PPT as well as at the whiteboard
Able to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including Sales and Delivery teams in multiple regions across the globe
Able to travel up to 50%, for customer presentations and requirements gathering
Able to work independently
Must be adaptable, able to engage on a wide range of business solutions, including large, complex and leading-edge projects
Strong organizational skills
Strong technical background in Lionbridge service lines
Specific Duties
Solutions Development
Leads requirement definition process with prospects and customers during pre-sales cycle
Develops solutions outlines, including recommended service delivery methodologies, resource requirements, and budgetary price estimates
Coordinates the efforts of internal subject matter experts in order to develop client solutions
Create ROI and other economic models to substantiate the proposed solution
Prepares detailed written proposals, in conjunction with bid preparation team
Support preparation of sales presentations with case studies and other proof points
Defining solutions that leverage Lionbridge capabilities to address client needs
Coordinating the efforts of internal subject matter experts to present client solutions
Map requirements to specific Lionbridge service solutions
Strategize with sales and operational strategic account owners on penetration and expansion of accounts
Analyze customers' business and technical requirements and enterprise architecture
Evaluate technological options and their effectiveness in meeting the customers' needs
Identify stakeholders with whom to speak further and opportunities beyond those immediately apparent within the customer’s company
Look for opportunities for other areas of client organization and pursue these with the appropriate Account Manager
Participate in quarterly account plan table-top reviews
Proposal Quality
Technical quality owner for proactive proposals, responses to RFPs and RFIs
Collaborate with operations during start-up and/or transitional projects to ensure integrated hand-off from presales development and negotiations phases to postsales kick-off
Contribute to development of best practices and Intellectual Capital
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field of study
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years experience in localization, development, quality assurance, or related fields
Skill/Ability:
Fluency in Korean, Japanese, or Chinese languages a plus
Strong customer presentation and communication skills
Deep understanding of one or more specializations: localization, functional and localization testing, application development, digital marketing, community management
Experience working with offshore delivery models and outsourcing programs
Ability to build financial models to demonstrate financial ROI for proposed solutions
Capacity to lead proposal development teams
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly and creatively
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and in stressful situations
Strong time management skills
Capacity to understand and assimilate complex technical information
Knowledge of and sensitivity to multi-lingual and multi-cultural issues
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
