Localization Tester (Intern)
Testing and Reporting:
Conduct linguistic and functional testing of localized products.
Identify, document, and report linguistic issues, such as translation errors, inconsistencies, and cultural inaccuracies.
Verify the implementation of fixes and improvements.
Coordination with Teams:
Collaborate with translation and localization teams to ensure consistent quality.
Communicate with developers and project managers regarding identified issues and their resolutions.
Content Review:
Review translated content for accuracy, grammar, and cultural appropriateness.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to translators and localizers.
Glossary and Style Guide Management:
Assist in maintaining and updating translation glossaries and style guides.
Ensure that the terminology is consistent across all localized content.
Market Research:
Conduct research on cultural trends and language usage in target markets to improve localization strategies.
Stay updated on industry best practices and new tools for localization quality assurance.
Tool and Software Use:
Use localization and QA tools to perform tasks efficiently (e.g., CAT tools, bug tracking systems).
Assist in the setup and configuration of testing environments.
Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, guidelines, and findings.
Compile reports on testing results and quality metrics.
Support and Training:
Provide support to senior LQA team members and other departments as needed.
Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge in localization and quality assurance.
