Job Title: Senior UX Designer 

 
About the Role  

As the Senior UX designer for the Aurora platform, you will be responsible for crafting a user-centric, simple and practical design for the future of Lionbridge technology.  

The role includes the overarching design of an all-encompassing Customer Experience (CX) layer as well as the interfaces of an ever-growing number of sub-products and service interfaces that make up Aurora.  

Relationships 

You will be working closely with Product Managers and stakeholders from across the business to build and maintain a modern interface which ultimately will be used by thousands of users daily.  

Responsibilities 

You will be required to lead the delivery of UX features and possess leadership qualities to guide the team by challenging Product management and working seamlessly with the software development teams to deliver our shared vision on time and on budget. 

Experience 

6 -8 years of Hands-on software UI/UX experience, preferably with previous exposure to product management and/or software development 

 
What you Will Do 

• Design, build and support development 
  Work in an agile framework to track Management and Process 

• Work with Product Owners/Managers and software developers 

• Craft product design vision, strategy and execution together with partners from across the company, such as Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Solutions and Operations 

• Solve product problems large and small, ensuring disciplines work seamlessly together 

• Operate in an ever-changing, global environment by setting context, being the voice for our users and evangelising their experience as a path to company success 

• Drive and support cross-team initiatives that make the User Experience practice at the company 

• Bring leadership skills to be able to present ideas and designs to senior forum and participate in meetings with product team and beyond 

Required Skills 
 

• Ability to understand product specifications/feature descriptions and user psychology  

• Ability to conduct insightful concept and usability testing and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders 

• Create and test personas through user research and data 

• Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success 

• Develop interactive wireframes and prototypes around stakeholder needs 

• Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability) 

• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to product managers and developers 

• Develop a product design project timescale and be accountable for delivery to that timescale 

To Be Successful You Will Have 

• Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role  

• Strong portfolio of design projects 

• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture 

• High proficiency in design software (e.g. Figma is our platform, Sketch, Animation, etc) 
  Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus 

• Problem-solving aptitude 

• An analytical mind with a business acumen 

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to describe complex concepts in a simple way to inspire stakeholders
