Position Summary
Manage and execute audio production and localization activities for multimedia projects within an account or customer division. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality audio assets in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and defined quality standards. Work closely with Project Managers, Multimedia teams, Linguists, Voice Talent, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of audio projects and support continuous improvement of audio production processes.
What You Will Do
• Analyze and prepare audio assets for localization, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and delivery based on project and client requirements.
• Execute audio localization projects, including narration, audio replacement, synchronization, mixing, and post-production activities.
• Review source and localized audio assets to identify technical, linguistic, synchronization, and quality issues.
• Ensure audio deliverables meet defined technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Perform audio editing, noise reduction, cleanup, equalization, compression, mixing, and mastering as required.
• Synchronize voice-over and localized audio with video, animation, eLearning content, and other multimedia assets.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Linguists, Voice Talent, recording studios, and other internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support audio recording sessions and coordinate with voice artists, directors, and external recording vendors whenever required.
• Perform audio quality assurance checks and troubleshoot technical issues related to audio files, codecs, sample rates, bit depth, channels, loudness, synchronization, and file formats.
• Ensure accurate file naming, version control, asset management, and delivery of final audio files according to project specifications.
• Work within required audio production, localization, and project management tools and obtain knowledge of new tools as required.
• Maintain project documentation, production records, and quality checklists in accordance with company standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization of audio production workflows in coordination with the SPM/GPM, Project Manager, and/or Solution Architect.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and customers regarding technical requirements, issues, and deliverables.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of audio-related production issues, escalating complex issues when required.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and adherence to project timelines, SLAs, and quality requirements.
• Perform other tasks that are crucial for projects to run properly according to instructions of the manager.
• Directing and participating in creation, development and localization of audio content.
• Discrete and independent judgement when analyzing project files.
To Be Successful You Will Have
• College degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent experience in Audio Engineering, Sound Engineering, Multimedia, Media Production, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in audio production, post-production, audio localization, or multimedia production, ideally within a localization environment.
• Strong knowledge of audio recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and post-production workflows.
• Hands-on experience with professional Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper, Audacity, or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of audio formats, codecs, sample rates, bit depth, mono/stereo/multichannel audio, loudness standards, and delivery specifications.
• Experience with voice-over, dubbing, narration, audio synchronization, and localized audio production an added advantage.
• Knowledge of audio quality standards and ability to identify and troubleshoot technical audio issues.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Storyline, Captivate, or Lectora is an advantage.
• Experience working with multimedia localization projects and understanding of localization workflows is an advantage.
• Experience working with TTS (Text-to-Speech), AI voice technologies, voice cloning, or automated audio production workflows is an advantage.
• Knowledge of scripting, automation, or tools such as FFmpeg, Python, or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle audio quality, synchronization, and technical issues.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with Project Managers, clients, vendors, voice talent, and internal teams.
• Adaptability: Ability to learn new tools, technologies, workflows, and client requirements and adapt to changing project scenarios.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple audio projects and deliverables, manage deadlines effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Problem Solving: Ability to independently troubleshoot audio and production issues and identify appropriate solutions.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global multimedia production environment.
