Process Technician

We are seeking a Process Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will be working within a team of Lionbridge technicians. This candidate will also be interfacing with client technicians and engineers. The candidate will be responsible for working to maintain processes as documented during M-Th day shift hours while assisting to collect data, drive improvement and standardization in proto factory manufacture of new products. Additionally, the candidate will be able to multi-task in a rapidly changing work environment, have the ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees and clients, and the ability to manage both daily duties as well as special projects as assigned.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical support to the shift for trouble shooting and problem resolution.
- Ensure zone equipment and processes meet and sustain standard production outputs.
- Work closely with supervisors/ process engineer/ maintenance for scheduling any tooling work that is required.
- Maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices for the manufacture of finished goods.
- Provide ideas and corrective actions for ongoing manufacturing issues.
- Work with and assist maintenance; making sure all tooling are in place and adding additional checks as needed to help ensure that all parts are within process control limits.
- Communicate with supervisors and co-workers on all shifts. Verbally with the ones on day shift and leave a log book for supervisors/ lead tech on swing shift on all setup updates/ changes.
- Keep updated setup and check sheets at machines at all times. When a change has been done, if the information on the sheet is not accurate, please change the sheet. Always keep a new sheet with the right machine numbers and the latest date.
- Work closely with supervisors/ engineers on new ideas to improve processing procedures or on anything that may improve quality or customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the highest quality and fastest cycle on all machines at all times.
- Work closely with the process engineer to implement and maintain procedures that will contribute to the improvement of the entire process.
- Inspect and maintain procedures that will contribute to the improvement of the entire process.
- Training of other technicians.
- Assist in shut downs and start-ups.
- Perform all additional duties as required by the Project Manager and Supervisor.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Requires completion of a high school diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalency.
- With technical experience in R&D, product test development, manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Able to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.
- Having a team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn.
- Working with the organization to support experimental and new product development.
- Effective written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Effective in a team environment as well as operating independently.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, OneNote, MS Outlook Exchange etc.)
- Excellent customer skills.
