Localization Tester Korean / Chinese Simplified / Chinese Traditional

Are you fluent in Korean, Chinese Simplified, or Chinese Traditional and possess a keen eye for detail? Lionbridge is seeking Localization Testers to ensure the accuracy and quality of our marketing and web analytics applications.

In this role, you will perform product testing, evaluate translations, and communicate with team members to resolve issues. Ideal candidates will have strong linguistic skills, a background in a related field, and proficiency in English.

What You Will Do:

• Perform on product (marketing and web analytics web applications) testing via project/product specific workflows.
• Evaluate, proofread, and correct translations in the UI context and report issues by following and adhering to linguistic and technical guidelines.
• Proactively communicate with the team and the leads to solve ad hoc issues.
• Occasionally providing new translations.

To Be Successful You Will Have:

• At least C1, preferably C2+ level of Korean / Chinese Simplified / Chinese Traditional
• Academic/business/professional English (at least C1, preferably C2).
• Background in linguistics, a related area, or a technical field (e.g. language studies/philosophy/philology/computer science/marketing/web analytics)
• Basic linguistic awareness – understanding that translations are contextually dependent and constantly evolving.
• Basic ambiguity awareness – understanding the difference between terms and words, a basic awareness of homonyms, especially in technical contexts.
• Language, linguistics, or IT experience will be considered as an advantage.
• Knowing some basic HTML or JavaScript will be considered as an advantage.
