HR Generalist

We at Lionbridge are actively seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for our core tactical HR activities, processes, and programs.

Working Environment
  • Work will be performed onsite at our Lionbridge office in Waltham, MA at least 4 days per week.
  • Flexibility on schedule - employees across different US time zones and shifts and occasional need to overlap schedule.
  • Rare travel may be required. Up to 0-5%.

What You Will Do

1.HR Operations and Compliance
  • Manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Conduct investigations, document, and present findings for final recommendation.
  • Provide HR policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Ensure adherence of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Health and safety and Worker's Compensation Communication and documentation
  • Support the performance management process, from training and reminders, tracking local progress and answering employee questions.
  • Onsite HR administrative support

2.Employee Experience and Engagement
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement programs/activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR and management teams to identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction and engagement.

3.Benefits Administration
  • Function as the primary contact for leave and accommodation inquiries, facilitating communication and coordination among employees, managers, Benefits, and third-party administrators.
  • Manage leave cases, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, PFML, STD, LTD, parental leave, and other applicable types, ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Support accommodation requests, collaborating with stakeholders to identify reasonable accommodations while ensuring compliance.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance requirements and contribute to the development and maintenance of related policies and procedures.

4.Talent Management
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of training materials and workshops.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives related to development and career progression.


To Be Successful You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • SHRM/PHR Certifications are a plus!
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and standards such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.
  • Multi-State knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze situations, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Elevated level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-directed and an adaptive learner with the ability to achieve results while working under the pressures of shifting priorities in a dynamic and agile environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
