Position Summary Lionbridge is seeking an experienced
Head of Sales (f/m/d), Germany to take ownership of one of our most strategic markets and drive meaningful enterprise revenue growth.
This is a senior player-manager role requiring a commercially driven leader with a strong track record in managing complex enterprise sales and developing strategic customer relationships. You will combine direct revenue
ownership with
leadership of a regional sales team, playing a key role in executing Lionbridge's AI-first Go-To-Market strategy across the German market.
You will be responsible for driving both new business acquisition and expanding existing enterprise accounts, while positioning Lionbridge's Language AI and localization solutions as a strategic differentiator for customers.
What You Will Do
- Own and deliver a significant revenue target, with full accountability for both new business and expansion within existing enterprise clients
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing regional sales team, ensuring strong execution across new business development and existing account growth while building a sustainable leadership pipeline
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, positioning Lionbridge as a trusted AI and localization partner
- Identify and unlock growth opportunities through white-space analysis, cross-sell, and upsell of AI-enabled localization, content, and platform solutions
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, deal inspections, and account strategy sessions to ensure consistent execution and forecast accuracy
- Translate global GTM priorities into clear regional sales plans, balancing new logo acquisition with structured account expansion
- Champion Lionbridge's AI-first narrative, elevating customer conversations beyond price-driven discussions
- Partner with Marketing, Solutions, Product, and Operations to drive demand generation and support AI-led solution selling
- Build and execute multi-year account growth strategies, expanding footprint across functions, regions, content types, and AI maturity levels
- Recruit, retain, and develop strong sales talent, while building a robust leadership pipeline within the region
- Ensure operational excellence through strong CRM discipline, pipeline hygiene, and data-driven decision-making
- Operate effectively within a global, matrixed organization, aligning regional execution with enterprise-wide priorities
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership (player-manager) role within EMEA
- Strong track record of selling language services, localization solutions, or Language AI platforms to enterprise clients
- Demonstrated success acquiring new customers while expanding complex, multi-market accounts
- Experience leading consultative, high-value sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and senior decision makers
- Strong understanding of the localization ecosystem, language technology, and AI-driven solutions
- Experience managing and developing sales teams, with a clear focus on performance and capability building
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, global environment
- Strong commercial acumen in pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue delivery
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies and account-based selling models
- Experience with AI-driven localization, machine translation, or content platforms
