Position Summary

This role requires a qualified accountant with at least two years of post-qualification experience-ideally in a shared service setting-and a proven track record of managing finances across multiple entities. Ideal candidates combine a strong academic background with high energy, attention to detail, and a collaborative, initiative-driven approach to support a growing, cross-functional team.

What You Will Do

  • Overall responsibility for the finance management of a portfolio of entities within the European Shared Service.
  • Responsible for the revenue recognition process for these entities, liaising with our SSC in Mumbai to ensure correct allocation of revenue.
  • Review and oversee and Analysis of month end journals, P&L and Balance sheet working closely with Mumbai team
  • Provision of internal monthly reporting under US GAAP to include balance sheet, income statement and supporting analysis schedules
  • Ensuring the completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations and Intercompany Reconciliations each month, and the timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Working closely with the GL, AP and AR SSC teams in Mumbai assigned to your entities, ensuring they have a balanced workload, are regularly coached, and review their work on an ongoing basis
  • Completing month end reporting and query resolution for corporate and management
  • Follow established EMEA-wide treasury procedures to include cash management, with weekly and monthly forecast reporting to US parent company
  • Co-ordination of the external audits and quarterly reviews and ensuring the audit is completed timely
  • Preparation of annual statutory financial statements for entities assigned , working with local service providers where applicable.
  • Compliance including VAT, VIES and other Government stat returns as required in country
  • Collaborating with payroll department on payroll postings and payroll related topics,
  • Work with Operations teams to ensure complex project financials are on track, with a particular focus on maximizing cashflow through regular review of unbilled and AR ageing.
  • Build relationships with business owners in your entities to ensure they receive up-to date information to enable them to make business decisions
  • Work with sales, pre-sales and operations on financial input to RFQ / tenders.
  • Assist in a number of ad hoc projects which will arise on a regular basis


To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/ ACCA/CIMA
  • 3 years PQE ideally in a Shared service environment
  • Experience of training / managing colleagues in India or other similar offshore centre
  • Proven track record of being responsible for a number of entities / clients
  • Good knowledge of financial systems
  • Previous exposure to US GAAP or Accounting in a Multinational environment would be an advantage
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and organized self starter who can work as an individual contributor and as part of cross functional team.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Flexibility and enthusiastic attitude are essential
