As a Software Test Engineer 2 collaborating with Lionbridge Games, you will support high-quality game releases by performing structured testing, contributing to test design, and helping strengthen overall QA processes. You will work closely with project teams, share knowledge with more junior testers, and help ensure that testing activities meet the standards expected by our clients.

 

What You Will Do

  • Test assigned game(s) thoroughly and systematically to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Execute test cases and support the refinement of test coverage as features evolve.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing test documentation for feature validation and regression cycles.
  • Create clear and detailed defect reports and collaborate with project teams to verify issue resolution.
  • Analyze findings, identify patterns, and escalate recurring issues where needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining and organizing test cases and project documentation using tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Confluence.
  • Communicate with development teams, producers, and clients to ensure testing aligns with project goals.
  • Offer guidance to junior testers and support knowledge-sharing within the QA team.
  • Participate in build validation, smoke testing, and environment configuration.
  • Apply QA best practices to help maintain consistency and quality across projects.
     

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • 3–4 years of experience in software or game QA.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and hands-on experience with test execution.
  • Ability to create, execute, and manage test cases independently.
  • Practical experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Competency in technical troubleshooting and interpreting logs or error messages.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with development builds or environments such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or Visual Studio.
  • A proactive approach to identifying workflow gaps and suggesting improvements.
  • Education in a technical field or equivalent experience (preferred, but not required).
