Working Student - Language Coordinator (German) (m/f/d) - part-time temporary contract
Lionbridge Gaming (localization, audio and testing services) is looking for a Work Student (m/f/d) for its German Language team, with a strong passion for gaming and language. The position will be on a 20h/week basis in our office in Berlin. Work from home will be possible and even required during the ongoing pandemic situation.
Responsibilities:
Translation, proofreading, and adaptation of video game content from English into German, including in-game texts (subtitles, UI, tutorials) and marketing (store descriptions, press releases, social media).
Quality assurance processes, including bugfix implementation, glossary harmonization, spellchecks etc.
Requirements:
Native speaker of German as well as an excellent command of the English language (source language of texts) is essential
A passion for video games
Ongoing BA or MA studies in a relevant field (translation studies, linguistics, cultural studies, etc.)
Experience in using CAT software, ideally memoQ
An excellent eye for detail and strong communication skills, both written and oral
Good organizational and time management skills
Flexible and proactive approach to tackling tasks
Eager to learn and become proficient in new tools
