POSITION: Weekend Shift Supervisor
LOCATION: Client Site - Corvallis, OR
SHIFT: 2 x 12 hr. shifts (24 hours per week total)
STATUS: Part Time Regular, Exempt
Coordination of the proto/production builds and processes to optimize the use of all resources in meeting and/or exceeding established goals and client/customer expectations.
Plans and coordinates Metals Apps Lab activities to support priority targets, meet and/or exceed client's expectations.
Ensures that the team perform tasks as outlined in Job Instruction Breakdowns, Quality Specifications and Standard Operating Practices.
Provides communication on departmental expectations, motivates team members and identifies opportunity for improvements.
Participates in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
Effectively utilize all resources to maximum potential performance to achieve goals.
Participates in identifying hiring needs; employee selection and training process.
Ensures company and customer site policies are followed and provides guidance and discipline.
Establishes individual goals for team members in alignment with overall organization goals and performs periodic performance reviews to determine progress.
Provides a safe and productive work environment, including required housekeeping.
Perform other tasks such as Lab Technician in the absence of a team member and/or as directed by senior manager.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related discipline; extensive work experience in manufacturing, production and/or R&D may be considered in lieu of education.
Minimum of 3 years of supervision experience.
Knowledge in process analysis and inventory management; continuous improvement practices is preferred.
Excellent computer skills in a network environment; Microsoft products experience preferred - Outlook-Word-Excel.
Track record of successful project management
Strong planning/Organization & Time Management skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common business and technical reports. Ability to listen and communicate effectively to the Team/Ops Support Manager/Site Leader in an effort to respond to common inquires or concerns from the client and/or other members of the organization.
Ability to develop presentations to be delivered to production team, site management and/or client.
