Translation Project Manager

We are looking for a responsible, efficient, and highly organized Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of multiple translation projects. You will have to assess, coordinate, assign, monitor, and deliver translation projects within a defined timeline and budget. You will be working closely with translators, account managers, in-house quality-control professionals, and clients.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in project management in the translation/localization or related industry;
  • Proficiency with CAT tools (Trados, Wordfast, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Flawless English knowledge (written and spoken), knowledge of any other language will be considered as an asset;
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • Proven track record of working in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, time management, organization and communication skills;
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly in high-pressure situations;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales team to assess and manage complex translation assignments;
  • Assess client requirements, then clearly communicate these requirements to both colleagues and translators;
  • Negotiate rates and deadlines with translators;
  • Managing project resources and resources allocation,
  • Allocation of translation tasks to vendors with regards to time and quality requirements;
  • Monitoring of KPIs of time, quality and financial results and contribution to its improvement;
  • Building strong relations with external and internal users by "internal customer" approach;
  • Continuous improvement in an area of project management and customer satisfaction;
  • Identifying, documenting and applying best practices for the position;
  • Perform data entry duties regarding sales figures, metrics and other key data related with position;
  • Demonstrate proactive and customer oriented approach and stimulate positive change and innovation;
  • Identify and analyze project-related problems. Develop and execute solutions.
