Lionbridge (UK) Limited are hiring a Test Associate to work on Video Games. This is an 18 month position in Twycross, Leicestershire. Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week.

Test Associate - Experienced tester executing hands-on testing of projects

The Test Associate will be responsible for assisting the Software Test Engineers or Lead to run and maintain test cases and sessions, share his/her knowledge with the team, test execution, reporting bugs found and bug regression

Requirements
  • Experience in games testing
  • Very good understanding of the testing process
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Active team player with good written and spoken communication skills
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Confident in expressing informed opinions on quality
  • Driven, capable of autonomous work
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven outstanding performance in a previous testing role. Performance such as testing, testing and process knowledge, technical skills, reporting, professionalism


Responsibilities
  • Run test cases accurately, effectively and efficiently to have confidence in documented results
  • Use gaming knowledge and exploratory testing skills to identify potential issues and risk areas within the product
  • Report bugs in a clear and concise manner into a bug database
  • Regress bugs to validate if they have been addressed correctly
  • Correct reporting of test execution results via provided tools
  • Regression of assigned issues and validate that the issues has been addressed correctly
  • Escalate any issues preventing/impacting test execution
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve game quality and game experience
  • Constantly strive to improve his/her knowledge of testing process, hardware and tools
  • Constantly share his/her knowledge with other team members
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members
  • Involved in conducting training sessions
