TECHNICAL WRITER

Technical Writer

What You Will Do:

• Perform updates of simple to moderate complexity to procedural articles as assigned by partner team at a large global tech company, ensuring that assignments are completed on time and in accordance with quality guidelines.

• Write clear, simple content that adheres to partner company and departmental standards and guidelines.
• Ensure that content is technically accurate and uses appropriate tone, voice, grammar, formatting, punctuation, spelling, and messaging.
• Collaborate closely with strategists, designers, and editors.
• Give constructive feedback to your peers and review your own work with others.
• Incorporate last-minute changes into already-delivered copy.
• Review and sign-off on deliverables prior to publishing.
• Collaborate openly and effectively with team leadership to manage content assignments and communicate status proactively.
• Assist with training of new team members.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing for new tools or features.
• Track time spent on assignments and report to team leadership.

To Be Successful You Will Have:

• Excellent writing skills; ability to ensure accurate and consistent tone, clarity, structure, and mechanics of content
• Experience optimizing written content for localization/ translation
• Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
• Proven track record working independently and with a team
• Experience working with style guides and an understanding of readability measurement methods preferred
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or other content management system preferred
