Technical Project Manager (Localization)

The Technical Project Manager works in a customer-facing role and is fully accountable for running and delivering assigned projects. S/he will manage technical, linguistic, operational, and administrative elements of localization projects, ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting contractual, financial and delivery goals. The TPM keeps program managers and other stakeholders informed about project progress, and s/he will highlight at-risk deliverables or potential delays.

The ideal candidate is willing and able to handle a heavy daily workload consisting of technical activities, content handoff & handback, and administrative tasks. Hands-on technical experience with localization production pipelines and code repositories is desired. Familiarity with cloud computing would be a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand, monitor, and troubleshoot technical processes and automation pipelines.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal & external production partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and serve as the primary day-to day project contact.
  • Develop & maintain project schedules to fulfil commitments in line with service level agreements.
  • Identify & manage changes; ensure that project deliverables comply with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure projects satisfy quality standards and meet key performance indicators.
  • Communicate project status and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks; escalate as appropriate.
  • Resolve issues in a timely and effective manner to stakeholder's or client's satisfaction.


Qualifications/Skills:
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with localization processes, auto-translation & machine translation systems
  • E xperience with creating, localizing, publishing & maintaining multilingual content
  • Experience with content management systems and authoring tools
  • Familiarity with web technologies, HTML, XML, XLIFF and similar file formats
  • Technical acumen and a willingness to learn, understand and troubleshoot new technologies
  • Be comfortable working with diverse teams from around the globe
