Lionbridge are looking for a Technical Administrator (SB) to be based on-site with our team in Derby.

Position summary

  • The Technical Administrator (SB) is reponsible for providing support to the Service Bulletin team in an administrative capacity.
  • The Technical Administrator (SB) is based on site in a customer facing position, and will act as a liaison between team members and the client.
Job duties
  • Maintenance of work package databases


  • Converting files from hard copy to electronic format


  • Hardcopy archiving


  • Updating visual management


  • Control documentation completion


  • Identification of process improvements


Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
  • Maintenance of work package databases - including data entry, updating existing work package entries, creation of new work package entries.
  • Creation of PDFs from hardcopy documents to allow electronic storage and archiving of obsolete hardcopy documentation
  • Assisting with project reporting and monitoring, including updating visual management boards
  • Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to complete essential work pack control documentation
  • Identification of process improvements - assisting Team and Technical Leads in simplification of current processes and ensuring optimum efficiency of new processes.
  • Other duties to support team/Team Lead/Tech Lead as may be required

E ducation/experience
  • Min. GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Ability to competently create and undertake maintenance of spreadsheets and databases to record, manipulate and present information
  • Competence within a customer facing role with excellent customer service and persuasion skills.
  • Experience in an administrative support role

K nowledge, skills and abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy with experience of using Microsoft Office suite, particularly: Word and Excel
  • Ability to accomodate shifting priorities, demands and timelines - effectively prioritising and executing tasks in a high pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and a diverse staff population, in order to elicit co-operation from a wide variety of sources within Lionbridge, and external to the business.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with proprietary information
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment (essential).
  • Confident, resourceful, highly organised and able to work without close supervision
  • Flexible during times of change, reacting promptly and efficiently to process adjustments and alterations.
