Position Title: Software Development Engineer

Software Development Engineer in Test 1 (SDET1) is a specialist technical role at Lionbridge Games. SDETs work with the Customer's product or QA teams and support them by implementing and maintaining automated test cases, test frameworks, test instrumentation, tracking and reporting on product quality and mentoring Test Automation Engineers.

What you will do:
  • Identifying test cases eligible for automation
  • Implementing and executing automation for test cases using existing frameworks
  • Investigating and reporting on product issues discovered by automation
  • Implementation and maintenance of test frameworks
  • Instrumenting product code to improve its testability
  • Mentoring TAE1, TAE2 at Lionbridge Games
  • Remain current on software testing best practices and industry trends
  • Monitor software to detect and root cause code errors


To be successful you will have:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a member of a software development team.
  • Highly developed technical communication.
  • Understanding of most OS concepts.
  • Competence within at least 1 scripting language: Python (preferred), JavaScript, PowerShell, Lua.
  • Competence within at least 1 object-oriented programming languages, e.g.: C#, C++, Java. Competence within Unit Testing.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools.
  • Experience with QA processes, test scope requirements and testing methods.
  • Knowledge of one version control system: Perforce, Git, SVN or similar.
