The SEO Specialist is part of the team responsible for optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization. Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities. Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success. Will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks.
Business and project needs will determine the exact nature of the tasks to be performed. Core responsibilities include:
Plan, develop and implement SEO strategies.
Collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in organic tactics.
Track, report and analyze website analytics.
Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization
Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Prior experience in content marketing, content growth, and SEO
Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices
Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO
Experience with website optimization tools and other (SEMrush, Google Search Console, GTMetrix, Google Webmaster, Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ, Tag Manager...)
Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English.
Ability to work within a team and independently
Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
High soft skills level in order to effective negotiation with Stakeholders involved in a project.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with proprietary information.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain group focus.
2 to 4 years experience working in similar roles.
Education and/or experience
BA degree in Marketing, English, Business or Media. May be considered equivalent specializations and expertise.
Bonus: SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing.
