Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager in Lionbridge, you will be responsible for the overall execution of complex customer accounts, ensuring full customer satisfaction, while meeting company financial, operational and quality goals. With your knowledge of Life Science Regulatory Affairs (RA), you will assist in building solutions for current and new clients to help drive account, process and system efficiencies and growth within Lionbridge.

The role is a key strategic customer interfacing. We're looking for a highly experienced, pro-active and driven candidate who will further enhance and support the client mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • SPM to service face to face engagement with the key Life Science RA client stakeholders in Europe.
  • Act as the first point of contact for new clients within the Life Science RA business. Forge a strong relationship with the customer interfaces, understand the client team dynamic, their business goals, priorities and challenges.
  • Possess strategic planning capabilities to grow and develop the account business model at Lionbridge. Lead the development and growth of the account from an Operations perspective to provide solutions to the customer.
  • Demonstrate clear ownership and strong leadership to deliver operational excellence to assigned Life Science clients.
  • Gather and review financial reporting, margin analysis, customer compliments/complaints and KPI data, together with the responsible PM.
  • Monitor daily work and performance of PMs in the global production centers and assist with development plans for team members. Address inadequate and reinforce good performance.
  • Set objectives and training requirements for PMs in the team and coach and help them to achieve growth and development in their role. Deliver input for formal performance reviews to GPM.
  • Participate in the development of Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Statement of Works (SoW) docs as well as Request For Proposal (RFP) processes.
  • Perform operational project management tasks for multiple, complex projects or specific project parts.
  • Delegate and assign tasks and responsibilities to Project Managers in the team, optimize the load balance in the team and/or PM department. Allocate back-up resources if necessary.
  • Review/approve quotes, budgets and invoices.
  • Manage the timely flow of all account project actions from initiation to delivery, ensuring that projects meet quality, turn-around time and budget expectations.
  • Bring the accounts to a new level of delivery, bring a high level of value-add to the account - improved processes, innovation, efficiencies, ensuring your team consistently exceed quality standards.
  • Keep informed of changes and advancements in the Life Science RA business segments globally (US, EU, Asia).
  • Communicate confidently with clients and influence around the life science RA specific standards and environments.
  • Participate in customer requirements planning and ensure that account teams aligned with current and future customer requirements. Drive Quarterly Business Review [QBR] processes together with the client.
  • Contribute to global initiatives, line of business propositions, meetings and process and system enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Over 5 years' of experience in Project Management, 2 of which must be at Senior level.
  • Experienced in Life Science, in particular, Regulatory Affairs (RA)
  • Able to establish instant credibility and be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in RA who both speaks and acts with confidence.
  • Excellent Client Communication and Management skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in leading localisation accounts
  • Demonstrated experience with localisation and content management systems
  • Excellent at leading people: team building, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision making.
  • Expertise in written communication: e-mail, status reports, proposals, etc.
  • Thorough understanding and experience of company budgeting tools and processes.
  • Understanding of localisation processes, tools, risk areas, etc.
  • Demonstrate a consistent, "can do" attitude, and act quickly to get on board with new initiatives.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in additional languages would be a significant advantage
  • University or Higher Degree in a relevant field
