Senior European GL Accountant

Warsaw | Masovian Voivodeship | Poland

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • heavily involved in the monthly close across Europe
  • preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for sites across Europe, ensuring the timely resolution of reconciling items
  • preparation and input of journal entries including (but not limited to) accruals, prepayments, cash and inter-company
  • posting intercompany transactions and reconciling monthly
  • processing revenue recognition across Europe in line with US GAAP
  • reviewing and maintaining fixed asset registers and posting depreciation
  • participating in statutory financial statement and tax returns preparation
  • liaising with both internal and external auditors during their audits and quarterly reviews and responding to their queries on timely basis
  • adhere to process documentation similar to Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • monthly reviews of cash flow forecasts
  • analytical reviews of the monthly income statements and balance sheets
  • cooperation with the business and support in the area of financial processes
  • other ad-hoc duties

  • experienced (min. 3-4 years) Senior Accountant
  • advanced Business English and good communication skills, German would be an advantage
  • good knowledge of financial systems
  • previous exposure US GAAP or Accounting in Multinational environment would be an advantage
  • strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
  • ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • experience in shared service center environment would be an advantage
  • proactive and organized self-starter who can work as an individual contributor and as part of cross functional team
  • attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • flexibility and enthusiastic attitude are essential
