Data Lead (Lionbridge Technologies, LLC; Seattle, WA): Collect, cull, and analyze data, as well as build and maintain reports and dashboards. Turn data into actionable learnings to directly influence product roadmap and implementation. Transform data into statistical insight that will help to improve the value of the business.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Collect and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and statistical data analysis techniques.
· Collaborate with the product teams to provide actionable statistical insights that contribute to the creation and iteration of product roadmaps, feature experiments, and business measures.
· Identify relationships and trends in statistical data, as well as any factors that could affect the results.
· Prepare data for processing by organizing information, checking for inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data.
· Contribute to defining and operationalizing user statistical metrics and insights to reduce friction and drive the best positive user experience.
· Apply statistical techniques to understand and synthesize product insights in large datasets.
· Generate and test statistical hypotheses to identify growth opportunities and improve customer experience.
· Understand business performance including statistical trends and funnels as well as answer product and business questions to drive product investments.
· Design and maintain customized statistical metrics, reports, and dashboards to the desired specifications.
· Use numerous forms of automation to eliminate the need for manual statistical reporting.
· Communicate actionable statistical insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
· Prepare analytical reports and visualize data in graphs and charts to summarize findings and share with the appropriate company stakeholders.
Work Location: May work from home office anywhere in the Seattle, Washington metropolitan region. Needs to work in the Seattle, WA metropolitan region for proximity to key client. Will attend meetings at key client’s worksite in Redmond, WA. Will report to Lionbridge management in the Seattle, Washington metropolitan region and at Lionbridge’s global headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related analytical field of study.
Must also have: (I) Demonstrated background using: a. large structured and unstructured datasets; b. query languages including SQL, U-SQL, R, Python, and Kusto; c. visualization tools including PowerBI and Tableau; d. web analytics; and, e. PowerPivot scripting language DAX; (II) Expert level knowledge of MS Excel functions and formulas; (III) Track record delivering positive business outcomes through quantitative and qualitative analysis; (IV) Track record helping to define hypothesis, requirements, metrics, and application with both business and technical partners; (V) Track record understanding, translating, and mapping business and product questions into analysis projects; (VI) Demonstrated adaptability and ability to deal with ambiguity and be flexible across various areas and projects; (VII) Strong written and verbal communication skills utilized towards both technical and non-technical audiences; (VIII) Demonstrated ability to triage and complete multiple projects under tight deadlines; (IX) Ability to utilize statistics and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems and to build in-depth data analysis and visualizations.
