Test Operations - RAL Tech Lead Swing Shift 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Job Purpose

The RAL Lead Technician is responsible for working in conjunction with their supervisor and client engineers. They will oversee testing work cells, within the RAL area.

The right candidate will have a history of strong leadership, an aptitude for analytical thinking, and experience in testing schedules and part tracking. Candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, a focus on quality, and be able to work with limited supervision.

Candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and tracking processes to improve operator productivity, maintaining testing schedules, and working with clients to ensure that materials are on site before scheduled product testing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Candidate must be, operate in place of the supervisor in their absence.
• Understand the RAL and Prototype environment, while being able to anticipate future obstacles to growth.
• Able to network and develop rapid response paths for critical issue resolution.
• Able to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment
• Work closely with Supervisors and Engineers on ideas to improve processing procedures.
• Able to communicate clearly with teams, operations management, and engineers to ensure timely delivery on agreed upon and realistic client schedules.
• Possess Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Able to communicate with engineers, supervisors and co-workers on multiple shifts.
• Provide ideas and corrective actions for ongoing testing issues.
• Identify and troubleshoot processes, materials, or equipment related issues. Recommend solutions to Supervisors and Engineering.
• Able to conduct failure analysis of defective parts to determine root cause.
• Maintain processes as documented and update documentation as needed.
• Able to create and maintain training process documentation.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• Provide reports and status updates to LB management.
• Drive Lean principles and improvements.
• Maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices for the manufacture of finished goods.
• Inspect and maintain procedures that will contribute to the improvement of the entire process.
• Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
• Perform all additional duties as required by the Project Manager and Supervisor.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to lead a team.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate should have minimum 5 years working in a testing environment involving inks, adhesives and material compatibility. Experience working in the Materials Compatibility Lab preferred. Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year in a leadership/coordinator role.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in the Reliability Assurance Lab preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working and communicating with engineers and management.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating resources to accomplish tasks to meet delivery requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in reducing process errors through training and interpersonal contact.

• Ability to interact with various persons professionally and positively.
