The Technical Services group at Lionbridge provides localization services for software, help systems, documentation, marketing materials as well as web & multimedia and e-learning content. This team is responsible for the technical aspects for these products from start to finish, working with project managers, translators, engineers and other resources.
Prepare the source materials for translation and create localized version of components by creating, editing, and compiling/building all required materials. Ensure end product (after translation) is aesthetically correct and without any functional errors. Develop automation solutions to aid the localization process. Participate as technical resource in client meetings. Maintain project documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards. Prepare translation materials by converting the files for Translations and restore original files after translation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Expert understanding of Regular Expressions
Extensive knowledge and experience of a programming or scripting language (C# and Python is preferred)
Text editors such as notepad++
Delta management theory and tools such as Catalyst or Passolo
Comparison tool-based delta management tools such as BeyondCompare and WinMerge
Query management tools
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
In depth understanding of various file formats including but not limited to XML, XLIFF, HTML (and other Markup Languages), properties, PO/POT, RC, RESX
Experience with Multimedia content (Audio/Video/eLearning) content and related tools such as Adobe Premier, AfterEffects is a plus.
2-4 years localization engineering or computer science/programming experience
Applicable training or University degree in Computer Science or related field
