Lionbridge is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager, to join our successful team in the UK.
As a Project Manager within the operations organisation, reporting to the Global Program Manager, you will use your knowledge and experience to assume responsibility for all aspects of the projects that you have been assigned. Managing activities and requirements throughout their lifecycle, including initiation, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases.
In the PM role you will function as a customer- facing, results-driven, and innovative operations leader. You will be responsible for the production and delivery, meeting expected project milestones, whilst operating to the required quality standards; and meeting all financial, revenue and profitability performance targets.
You will manage a team of technical documentation delivery specialists and assign resources to match the ebb and flow of differing project needs.
What You Will Do
Own various Projects and customer relationships from an operations perspective.
Work with other Project Managers and business leaders to move the company and services forward.
Manage and deliver successful projects by focusing on various activities and phases;
Define the project scope to ensure solution meets the expectation of the client and business.
Define the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), in line with contractual requirements.
Identify and manage changes to the project scope.
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support and/or generate accurate and comprehensive proposals for prospective projects.
Define Technology requirements for the solutions.
Define and sequence project activity and resource requirements to formulate the project schedule and milestones.
Implement the project plan and schedule.
Manage and deploy appropriate resourcing to support successful delivery of the project(s).
Control and monitor all aspects of the project finances.
Manage purchase orders, produce monthly invoices against contractual milestones and drive project revenue.
Be responsible for performance forecast of the project.
Develop and implement Project quality plans in line with ISO standards.
Identify and implement project process improvements for quality, delivery and cost.
Provide production quality and /or productivity metrics.
Implement strategies for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Human Resource Management
Manage a team including individual development plans, objectives and performance management
Implement and maintain training plans
Liaise with various teams regarding employee morale, to ensure good staff retention and employee duty of care is maintained.
Develop and implement a communication plan for each project
Attend client meetings, production meetings and high-level operations discussions
Provide various reporting to all stakeholders both internal and external.
Identify and manage Project risks and opportunities.
Conduct gap analysis activities and produce gap analysis action plans where appropriate.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
Demonstratable experience in Project Management or Account Leadership.
Demonstratable background in understanding, managing and reporting project financials.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices, principles and methodologies
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Experience people and team management.
Engineering experience in a relevant field is preferable, but not essential
Experience of working with in an Engineering field and/or with knowledge of Technical Documentation is preferable, but not essential.
Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to deal with ambiguity and juggle multiple assignments and deadlines associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong project management and negotiation skills while working within established business priorities and constraints.
