Position Description:
As a Project Manager you will work closely with your Global Program Manager and external customers agreeing schedules to meet assigned project(s) requirements. You will lead a team of Project Leads and work with a community of homeworkers whom will be responsible for the delivery of projects. The Project Manager should be well organized, have strong communication skills and be able to multi task across many project activities.



Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships and serve as a primary day to day contact for customers.

• Co-ordinate with your Global Program Manager on assigned project(s) to ensure customer deliverables are met

• Communicate project status, issues and risks to your Global Program Manager & customer as applicable

• Organise and participate in customer meetings including weekly project calls, quarterly review meetings and other ad-hoc meetings as required
  • Managing the project goal of Customer Satisfaction through Quality, Capacity and Value of Services managed on their behalf.
    • Quality : Ensure effective and timely alignment between Customer expectations on Quality and Operational capabilities, through weekly and quarterly reviews of objectives and feedback, followed by implementation.
    • Capacity : Communicate global delivery status including operational capacity, productivity and capability to the Customer and ensure any emerging gaps between Customer expectations and Operational delivery are closed through timely and effective management of issues.
    • Value : Ensure all services being delivered are communicated in terms of the value returned to the Customer. Ensure all innovations, including new services and initiatives are aligned with Customer current and future expectations

• Ensure that Project leads are meeting customer objectives through regular syncs with team members to assess progress and assist in solving blocking issues

• Manage project schedules to meet customer needs and co-ordinate resources

• Track progress and review deadlines to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget with agreed quality

• Ensure Project Documentation is clear, concise and easily understood for all parties involved in your assigned project(s)

• Ensuring project webinars are completed for all new projects

• Review Project Post-Partum with the Project Stakeholders as applicable

• Accurately track your time in a timesheet tool and oversee that the Project leads are updating their time on a weekly basis in the SAP timesheet portal.

• Update monthly billing for all projects assigned and distribute to your Global Program Manager and the customer as applicable.
  • Conduct performance reviews with your team of Project leads and assign relevant development plan for everyone on your team.

• There will be a requirement to be available for travel for occasional customer visits.

• You may be required to perform other duties as necessary or as assigned.

• Overtime may be required to meet customer deadlines

• People management skills

Skills and Experience:
  • 4+ years' experience working in a global/multinational environment
  • A good understanding of IT industry with demonstrated proficiency in the Internet Search relevance business
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to drive identification and resolution of issues
  • Experience of creating new or updating existing Guidelines based on project scope changes should they occur.
  • Show initiative in setting and meeting goals within a managed changing environment.
  • Reporting issues and risks to your Global Program Manager and working on mitigation plans accordingly
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and communicate across functional teams
  • Excellent People management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills
  • Proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint as well as strong presentation skills are essential


Educational Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in computer science/engineering discipline or business-related qualification.
