We're looking for a dedicated and self-driven PMO Manager who has a passion for consistently optimizing processes, resources, and tools that drive operational excellence, and with an entrepreneurial-minded approach in running a business. This exciting and dynamic role is front and center of Cisco's in-house creative agency fast-paced and detailed-oriented environment of Operations. To be successful, this role will need to immerse and be involved in all facets of Operations with a focused emphasis on teamwork to ensure smooth execution of operational initiatives and innovation .

To be a successful PMO Manager, we're looking for an individual with strong leadership and communications skills. As a people manager, this role will require efficiency, organization and the ability to manage a wide variety of team members, including service leads, agency coordinators, and project managers.

  • PMO Leadership
    • Draft and lead the definition of project management office policies and processes in accordance with organizational objectives/priorities, including request intake, project prioritization, project approvals, and project health & tracking.
    • Leads develops and oversees the definition of operational documentation and workflows while administering the organization's standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Work closely with the PMO team to ensure that projects/activities meet objectives within agreed budgets and timelines. Keep an open line of communication with project participants and stakeholders.
    • Support Operations Team initiatives and information management strategy through ongoing transparent communications, and team meetings.
    • Assist with the operational awareness and training strategy to broader team on key topics such as financials, project management, tools/technology, and process updates (new and existing) .
    • Comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with many ever-changing priorities and initiatives.
    • Able to develop a bigger picture understanding of the business and make solid suggestions having considered implications.
  • Project Prioritization
    • Collaborates with team members from all levels, department leaders to define and prioritize projects.
  • Resource Management/Prioritization
    • Ability to track and evolve an efficient resource allocation and optimization model in close partnership of various team members, and resource managers.
  • Risk Management
    • Proactively manage foreseen operational risks, identify alternate solutions, and mitigate as necessary .
  • Metrics/Data and Financials
    • Supports Operations Team with the definition and evolution of business health metrics, including financials, customer-facing, and run the business.
    • Business-minded approach to analyze data to "tell the story" while enabling proactive decision making.
    • Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
    • Provides guidance on key operational dashboards/reports, while ensuring data is organized in a meaningful and simplified manner.
  • People Management
    • People manager that can effectively coach, guide and mentor direct reports and create an environment that is safe, innovative, and fun.

  • Minimum of 8+ years professional experience, preferably in a senior operational role at a creative agency, in-house creative team, or business/entrepreneurial environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired.
  • Strong and proven leadership skills, who can manage difficult situations.
  • Solid people management experience with the ability to train, coach, and guide a global team.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university, or equivalent
  • Established project management and operational excellence experience
  • Ability to identify program and/or process issues and opportunities for improvement, align with various team members on solutions, and implement changes appropriately
  • Ability to learn quickly and organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; natural rapport-builder
  • Supreme attention to detail and organizational process
  • Independent thinker, team player; autonomous executor who follows up and follows through (pro-active)
  • Innate integrity and accountability
  • Experience successfully managing a broad and varied workload
  • Desire to be hands-on in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Project management tool experience a plus (e.g., Workfront, MS Project)
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) and DOMO are a plus
