Lionbridge are looking to hire a Programme Controller, to be based at one of their offices in the UK - Located in Derby, Bristol or Coventry.

  • The Programme Controller is reponsible for providing Business Performance support, reporting, control and analysis to the Programme Management and Senior Leadership Organisation.
Job duties
  • Programme account management, monitoring and reporting.


  • Creation, maintenance and audit of programme information, reports and data.


  • First level analysis and escalation.


  • Control of periodic reporting to stakeholders.


  • Programme performance controls and Financial Administration


Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
  • Creation of new projects in the financial management system, liaising with Managers to ensure customer Purchase Orders (POs) and all relevant documentation is available as per company processes, ensuring an auditable record.
  • Overseeing and audit of a PO burn-down tracker (by account) to ensure that the expenditure against each PO is monitored. Management of the tracker to ensure that no project runs at a financial risk, including no purchase order cover. Monthly analysis of data with reporting to stakeholders.
  • Maintenance of a commercial risk register with reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Retention and management of accurate and auditable records of project sales values, accounts receivable, costs and Work In Progress (WIP).
  • Liaison with customer finance departments.
  • Query resolution; working with operations, customers and the Lionbridge Finance department to resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Productivity, Billability and Utilisation performance monitoriing, reporting to and liaising with stakeholders to drive compliance and improvement where necessary.
  • Production of auditable reports for invoicing periods.
  • Creation, oversight and communication of reports to customers.
  • Production of auditable reports for month end revenue recognition, ensuring all revenue has been captured for each project and has been input into the Lionbridge finance system.
  • Overseeing and reporting of queries arising from invoices submitted to customers, ensuring the PM team and other stakeholders have the correct information to resolve them.
  • Collation of information from Programme teams, producing weekly reports that summarise and communicate the cost and revenue predictions to stakeholders.
  • On-going liaison with Finance and Operations Management in order to ensure they are kept informed at all times of any project developments that may have an impact on the performance of the unit and are aware that the approach to project control is in line with the overall unit and business strategy and processes.
  • Identify and manage technology solutions, automation and process improvements.
  • Other duties to support Business Management organisation as may be required.
Education/experience
  • Min. GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Demonstrated competence re: working in a busy office environment supporting a number of Managers, projects and teams
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of numeracy
  • Excellent computer literacy with experience of using Microsoft Office suite, particularly: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with project management processes.
  • Commercial and financial understanding.
  • Evidence of analytical and problem solving capabilities with high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with proprietary information
  • Confident, resourceful, highly organised and able to work without close supervision.
