Authoring of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Documents and Inputs:
  • Create content by gathering information from material testing, existing databases and SharePoint sites, and toxicologists to determine appropriate hazard content communication requirements
  • Regularly access and update the materials database
  • Discuss and consult with team members both on-site as well as off-site (and out of country)


Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Publication/Finalization Management:
  • Ensure SDS documents are posted in a timely fashion
  • Quality control of documents to ensure consistency, content and compliance with expectations
  • Hazard classification changes and impacts
  • Monitor classification changes as a result of inputs and advice
  • Identify and summarize impacts to chemical formations and classifications


Chemical Reformulations, Content Updates:
  • Monitor classification changes as a result of lab test results and/or formulation changes
  • Identify and summarize impacts to chemical formations and classifications
  • Utilize chemistry knowledge and expertise to compile and populate the database with chemical substance hazard classifications, risk assessments, and toxicological endpoints


Process Continuity and Maintenance:
  • Manage the collection of information and data in order to utilize risk assessment tools
  • Provide summary-level data and results from the tools
  • Ensure process consistency in the use and application of the tools
  • Maintain data and tools
  • Lead the update process on a quarterly basis, providing summary-level results and analysis
  • Review and maintain compliance files for commercialized products
  • Review existing documentation for accuracy
  • Update documents to latest standards
  • Compilation and entry of data into database

Ideal attributes of the candidate:
  • Chemistry education or experience; ideally possesses a BS in Chemistry or Toxicology (as a major or minor)
  • Experience with M/S Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive and other personal efficiency and productivity tools
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently problem-solve

  • Product timely, accurate and high-quality work output
  • Have the ability and desire to work in a very dynamic work environment, with frequent communications across functions and regions, with an understanding of cultural diversity
  • Have the ability to organize and plan their daily work, with minimal supervision and direction
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely; be able to organize and present information in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Be available for work on a consistent basis, 40 hours per week.
