Lionbridge is currently looking for an experienced Hungarian Lead Linguist.

Profile

  • Native speaker of Hungarian
  • Strong linguistic skills and background: University degree in translation or linguistics (or at least 5 years of translation experience)
  • EU experience preferred (incl. experience with amendment files) and strong (EU-related) linguistic skills
  • Organized, consistent, proactive, solutions-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written (both Hungarian and English)
  • Strong knowledge of CAT tools and ability to quickly learn new systems

Requirements

  • Experience with SDL Studio is required
  • Knowledge of languages such as German, Spanish, French and Italian is a plus

Role

  • Perform regular review/QA
  • Provide input for the evaluation of translators and reviewers
  • Communicate with the client and the Lionbridge team, attend meetings and help out with other linguistic tasks
  • Maintain an overview of the specific rules and instructions for Hungarian for each EU institution
