Job Title: HR Generalist

SUMMARY

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions or teams. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Performs benefits administration to include change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Develops and maintains required compliance programs; files, other records, reports and logs to conform to regulations.
  • Conducts the recruiting cycle for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places advertisements.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and local regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • College Degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience as Human Resources Generalist.
  • Advanced English level (C1 or higher).
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.
