Business Development Director - Games and Entertainment

We at Lionbridge are actively seeking a strong and experienced New-Business Development Director to join our World-leading Games and Entertainment Team to continue our growth and drive new business opportunities.

We are seeking someone who is truly passionate about Gaming and Entertainment!

What you will do:

The core focus for this role is generating business from new partners on the West Coast (US and Canada), specifically within the Gaming & Entertainment sector. You will be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets, maintaining profitable growth within a territory and executing on overarching sales and corporate objectives. You will manage the entire sales process including lead generation, qualification, discovery, solution development / presentation, negotiation and close. The target customers for this specific role are those designing, producing, marketing and distributing Games and Entertainment, especially key players in this space.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Achieve prospecting goals by generating new leads and opportunities from personal activity, trade shows, internal & external conferences, regional organizations, etc.
  • Achieve subsequent revenue targets and other sales performance requirements.
  • Work to qualify / close leads (MQLs) sourced by marketing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of your prospect's business goals, competition, growth plans and obstacles.
  • Position all Lionbridge Gaming solutions & services with help from product specialists.
  • Communicate strategic information such as market intelligence, key customer data, competitive analysis and pricing information to internal constituencies.
  • Advocate for your client and be customer focused.
  • Provide strategic & tactical leadership internally and externally throughout the sales process for all opportunities.
  • Accurately capture and report all aspects of account and opportunity information within a sales force automation (SFA) application.
  • Willing to travel 25%. This role will be remote for the foreseeable future, and may require limited travel once safety is fully restored.


To be successful you will have:

  • 5+ years of consultative selling experience in the Games/Entertainment industry.
  • Proven HUNTER experience in creating new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with and selling to mid-level and senior executive contacts.
  • An understanding of the Games vertical is essential; the ideal candidate possesses an in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following specialized areas: localization, testing, software, middleware, creative, etc. in the Gaming space.
  • Very strong communication skills in English, and a strong understanding of industry terminology and culture.
