We are looking for an intermediate level Editorial Digital and Print Designer to work embedded in our client's Global Branding Design and Marketing team. This team is responsible for consistently delivering connected, intuitive, and thoughtful on-brand communications, and for the planning, coordination, and execution of quality projects aimed at internal employees and external clients. The ideal candidate should have the right mix of creative and technical skills to work just as well in teams or independently on all stages of a creative project, including but not limited to: refining project requirements, crafting data visualization solutions, and designing new page-layouts while using human-centered design techniques. Your ability to communicate and sell ideas through visuals should personify the art of true storytelling. Your day to day will include activities such as:
Studying briefs and analyzing business objectives to provide insights and solutions for design and workflow considerations.
Collaborating with key stakeholders for global thought-leadership in the development and execution of editorial, digital marketing, and social media assets.
Hands on production and coordination of editorial illustrations and creative artwork for digital and print publications such as magazines, articles, newspapers, catalogues, brochures, handbooks, posters, web landing pages, photo editing, others.
Act as an advisor for other junior designers and stakeholders to ensure the client's brand is consistent and evolving thoughtfully
To be successful you should be able to:
Understand the main elements of editorial design: format, time, identity, structure, art, typography, layout, prototyping, and production.
Demonstrate your creative experience in page layout and data viz design while following brand guidelines
Produce high-quality visuals for editorial stories and products to entice readers and keep them engaged in the client's content, while ensuring a confident expression of the brand
Adapt your solution approach to the context and constraints of each project to meet deadlines and budget.
Take initiative and work effectively as part of a diverse and dynamic team of professionals while working independently or remotely with multi-cultural teams across regions and time zones.
Prioritize interdependent activities classified into tasks and sub-tasks to develop design systems
Collaborate with other groups to document, monitor, and control progress, including but not limited to stakeholders, Marketing Coordinators, Content Leads, Art Directors, Developers and QA teams
Wrap up and package final asset deliverables for the print shop or digital publication while following best practices and adhering to specs.
Communicate effectively in both creative and business environments (English Business proficiency level C1 or above)
Technical Experience (must have)
English proficiency level C1 or above
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with 3+ years of proven Editorial Design experience at a branded content studio, creative advertising agency, or editorial publishing company (portfolio required)
Flexible to work with both MAC and Windows platforms
Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to PS, AI, ID, PDF.
High- skilled in Microsoft Power Point and Word
Best practices knowledge for document set up and print-ready file packaging
Soft skills: (must have)
Proactive /effective communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solving approach (strong bias for action and natural ability to work around impediments)
Positive attitude and willingness to teach and to learn from others (teamwork)
Strong sense of deadlines and ability to negotiate on early stages based on initial requirements
High attention to quality and detail
Nice to have:
Knowledge of accessibility and responsive design best practices
Basic understanding of UX, HTML AND CSS design capabilities
Print shop work experience and understanding of different print techniques/processes
