Creative Account Manager

Lionbridge Technologies is actively seeking a hybrid Account and Project Manager to help us tell captivating visual stories through world-class creative design. We're an award-winning company enabling more than 800 brands to increase international market share, speed adoption of products and effectively engage their customers in local markets worldwide . This particular role is part of a team embedded within Cisco Systems Inc.'s internal brand agency, The Hatch, which won IHAF's in-house agency of the year in 2020. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of this internal agency to bring innovative ideas to the table and provide creative solutions to Cisco.

We are looking for smart, detail-oriented problem-solvers with outstanding communication, organization, client services and Account/Project Management skills to interact with clients and internal departments to plan, budget and manage creative projects. This Account Manager role will lead a specific area of the business, which will include system marks such as logos, badges and branding collateral.

What you will do:

This role will focus on bodies of work including, but not limited to: photography, motion graphics, system marks, brand guidelines, presentation design and email campaign design, and be the business owner and expert for incoming photography requests from Cisco clients.

Account Management
  • Maintain the "big picture" for projects and client requirements ensuring that related deliverables are treated appropriately.
  • Evaluate creative briefs for business readiness and value to the team, understanding client budgets and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with clients to enhance creative brief quality and identify key messages that will enable the creative team to create on-target solutions and deliverables.
  • Appropriately balance client desires, business needs, marketing standards and brand identity; resetting expectations as needed.
  • Understand clients' products, audiences and business objectives and ensure they are applied to client products
  • Influence resource allocation against budget to ensure all costs are recoverable.
  • Maintain a focus on client services to create repeat work and pursue the type of projects that align with our team's expertise.
  • Coach, guide and mentor resources aligned to business area, with the ability to delegate and oversee work.


Project Management
  • Serve as initial point of contact for all aligned-client projects and advise clients on options and capabilities utilizing marketing best practices and channel knowledge
  • Lead a wide range of creative projects from initial ideation through execution. May include web/print graphics, illustrations, presentations and motion graphics/video.
  • Ensure all creative assets align to our internal agencies brand guidelines and adhere to our high standards of consistency and quality.
  • Coordinate discovery and critical milestone meetings, and provide consolidated feedback to the design and content teams as appropriate
  • Manage and track progress through an online project management software tool.
  • Allocate creative resources based on need, availability, skill and project schedule to maximize resource utilization.


To be successful you will have:

  • A Bachelor of degree in Fine Arts, Graphics Design, Marketing & Communication or Digital Media; or relevant industry experience.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in an Account/Project Manager role in a creative, audio/visual department leading graphics, photography, motion graphics, animation and/or interactive design projects in a digital environment.
  • Design and creative agency experience. (required)
  • Experience working within Corporate Brand guidelines. (required)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (preferred)
  • Experience managing photography and motion graphics projects (required). Must have a clear understanding of the photography process and language, and be able to lead and manage a photography project and team from client brief to delivery.
  • Proven ability to establish a direction and vision which mobilizes the creative team to meet clearly defined goals.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to effectively work with a global and geographically dispersed team.
