Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer (Boise, Idaho) Our Cloud Infrastructure Development Team is currently focused on building out an Infrastructure Platform in support of Cloud SW Solution development. The Infrastructure Platform will support common tools and processes in the areas of CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Testing, Databases, Messaging, Monitoring.
The focus for this role will be on understanding the full pipeline process, tools, and technologies to act as a support engineer for solution/service development teams onboarding to the Infrastructure platform. This engineer would also have some responsibility for supporting the production infrastructure in collaboration with solution partners and the core Infrastructure development team.
Responsibilities include:
Partner with team architects and developers to build expertise on the key capabilities and processes supported by the platform (Build process, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Splunk, MongoDB, AWS, etc.)
Facilitate onboarding and ongoing technical discussions with partner solution teams.
Provide guidance, training, and documentation to partner solution teams.
Provide direct technical support for development engineers using the pipeline and other core elements of the platform (pipeline, test framework, deployment process, logging, monitoring, etc.)
Contribute to the improvement of infrastructure monitoring and alerting and associated processes. Respond to production alerts and remediate issues as appropriate while on-call.
Monitor MS Teams channels for support issues and respond accordingly
Improve platform elements in alignment with the core infrastructure development team.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline ( CS or closely related degree)
SW development lifecycle, quality processes, agile development, SaaS
Cloud system triage experience
Developer/Partner Relations experience
Proven problem solving & decision-making capabilities
