The Automotive Data Coordination Author position offers the opportunity for those with automotive industry experience and competency in computer literacy to help clients develop accurate and quality technical publications. Armed with your automotive experience, you'll be helping to validate resource documents that drive work assignments, diving into databases, analyzing data, and preparing reports to ensure that the clients' technical publications are accurate and easy to understand by the rest of the automotive field.

The Automotive Data Coordination Author will interface directly with the client, there will be a need for the candidate to be able to display exemplary customer service skills in a professional office setting and vehicle lab environment

Job Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to resolve customer concerns related to labor time guides, bulletins, and service manuals for an OEM
  • Apply automotive knowledge and utilize multiple client supplied files in order to identify appropriate work plans and resource utilization
  • Interacting with the client, internal and external authoring teams, on-site validation teams, and other regional team members around the globe to produce publications
  • Effective use of database tools (MS Access) and related reports
  • Respectfully respond to requests for information
  • Conform to security policies and data integrity
  • Effective communication with Leadership and support of Leadership responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and proper reporting on vehicle project progress to leadership

  • Associates degree or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of similar work experience, experience with database functionality preferred
  • Previous experience with vehicle service and service information preferred
  • Exceptional PC skills and intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Access
  • Database knowledge and skills with the ability to create reports and run queries
  • Knowledge of automotive service industry, service equipment, and shop safety
