Audio Lead

The Audio Lead will be responsible for organizing audio production tasks and coordinating with global teams to help maintain an exceptionally high standard of service and quality.

You will work locally at Rocket Sound, Lionbridge's sound studios in North Hollywood, CA, while coordinating with teams around the world to help ensure the smooth operation of voice recording and related production. The ideal candidate is a highly organized strategic thinker and a proactive self-starter. You're familiar with handling dialogue scripts, working in a global environment, scheduling, and similar tasks related to audio production management. You're also passionate about great sound and performance, with a well-trained ear.

This person will report to the Production Manager.

What You Will Do
  • Help manage original English voice production for AAA video games and related projects, with high standards for quality and a near-zero defect rate.
  • Help manage audio localization pipelines, ensuring localization deliveries adhere to schedule milestones and quality requirements.
  • Prepare scripts, databases and studio documentation.
  • Help manage schedules for voice talent, directors and engineers.
  • Organize and manage communication with the global project management team.
  • Imagine and implement processes and process improvements.
  • Manage project risks associated with all production.
  • Report operational issues to Production Manager and appropriate stakeholders.
  • Other tasks as they come up! We're a tight-knit team, and we cover each other's backs.

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • 3+ years of experience within the professional sound industry
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to various complex situations as they arise and come up with solutions
  • Expertise with Pro Tools and other standard audio production tools
  • Experience in dialogue editing and mastering
  • Experience with batch file management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in common computer applications, especially Excel, and a knack for learning new ones.
  • A knack for getting along with a variety of personalities, including creative people, technical people, and all of the interesting combinations that make up game teams
  • The ability to stay relaxed, creative, flexible and focused when the pace gets fast
  • Excellent negotiation and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and trouble-shoot problems when they arise
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong interest in the process of making video games. Experience in game development is a huge plus.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Experience in scripting a plus
