Lionbridge are now looking to hire an Account Director, to work with our team in the UK, based in London.
The Account Director will function as a leader and revenue owner of a portfolio of strategic accounts. The role will have accountability for customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The core focus for this strategic role is to retain & grow existing global complex relationships by maintaining current business and increasing customer share of wallet by expanding into new buying centres and customer funded programs with additional growth opportunities for the client by leveraging all Lionbridge solutions & services. This role manages the selling / buying process for new business in existing accounts via upsell and cross-sell, including lead generation, qualification, needs discovery, solution development / presentation, value articulation, negotiations and close.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with existing contacts / clients through on-phone and in-person meetings with high value clients, with a special focus on executive level contacts
  • Develop & maintain executive-level relationships at existing customer accounts
  • Develop new business opportunities through existing clients or contacts, and by developing new relationships with potential clients across the customer account
  • Driving specific sales programs through networking and outbound calling to grow Lionbridge's market share within an assigned book of business
  • Develop and maintain client Account Plans in collaboration with the project team, Marketing, Operations and other supporting functions. Oversee its execution to achieving Account Goals
  • Achieve retention and growth targets set by the sales organization
  • Gain and expand contacts within assigned accounts through consistent and effective outreach
  • Act as the lead point of contact for all key client matters
  • Maintain open communication with Operations & Delivery
  • Maintains and protects the revenue stream from products & services already existing within account. Ensure customers renew their contracts for existing products or services
  • Reinforce Lionbridge reputation as a Global Leader by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of Lionbridge's services and solutions
  • Serve as the key client interface as new programs enter the sales cycle. Provide thought leadership as solutions are being crafted, and drive transition and onboarding of new customer groups as appropriate
  • In conjunction with Operations, responsible for preparing and delivering customer Quarterly Business Reviews. QBRs should be metric driven and track our performance against KPIs. QBRs should also address new insights and suggested innovations. Provide executive updates and overview on overall health of the account to the Operations leaders and Global Client Solutions leadership
  • Create & maintain a robust and up-to-date pipeline of qualified, active opportunities and manage them to close
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts & highlight risks if any exist
  • Be a participant in Onboarding customers and ensure full utilization of previously purchased products or services, partnering with customer success managers if present
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys & business review sessions internally and with all relevant client management & functions
  • Track overall account performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, quality, and profitability
  • Resolve customer issues to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with upper management, internal Operations teams, Marketing and other supporting functions


Eduation and Experience required:-

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience of direct sales, including account management experience, preferably oriented to Services
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Relevant product experience preferred
  • Field Sales background preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of account management best practices, e.g. account planning, account development, executive relationship development, contracting and pricing with the ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of a Global organization
  • Experience with RFI / RFP processes desirable
  • Previous marketing experience may be required based on SBU focus
  • Localisation industry concepts, practices, policies and procedures
